Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Blur It: Face Mosaic & Video application.
1Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Blur It: Face Mosaic & Video (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Anh Trinh regarding your use of the App.
2Description of Service
Blur It Features:
- • On-device face detection and tracking in videos and photos
- • Five cover styles: Blur, Pixelate, Mosaic, Bloom, and emoji stickers
- • Soft feathered oval masks and a pinch-to-zoom editing canvas
- • Per-person, per-segment control on a non-destructive timeline
- • Custom boxes for non-face subjects (screens, plates, documents)
- • Batch photo protection and watermark-free export to your library
- • Free to use with a daily export limit; Blur It Pro (one-time US$4.99) removes it
Blur It is a privacy editing tool. All processing runs locally on your device; the App does not upload your media anywhere.
3Device Requirements & Permissions
Blur It requires iOS 17 or later. To function, the App needs your permission to read from and add to your photo library; camera and notification access are optional. You can manage these permissions at any time in iOS Settings, but some features will not work without them.
Detection and export speed depend on your device, the length and resolution of your clip, and how many people are in frame. Older devices may take noticeably longer on long or high-resolution videos.
4Your Content and Responsibility
You own your media:
Everything you import, edit, and export with Blur It belongs to you. Your media is processed on your device — we do not claim any rights to it and cannot access it.
You are solely responsible for the media you edit and how you use it. You agree that you will not use the App to:
- Conceal or alter evidence, or obstruct a legal or official process
- Create misleading or deceptive material presented as an unaltered record
- Violate anyone's privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights
- Create or share unlawful, harassing, or harmful content
- Break any recording, publishing, or data-protection laws that apply to you
5No Guarantee of Complete Anonymity
Please read this carefully:
Automatic face detection is not perfect. It can miss a face that is turned away, partially hidden, poorly lit, very small, or briefly out of frame. Blur It is a tool to help you, not a guarantee that a person cannot be identified.
Always review the full result before you share it, and use the manual controls and custom boxes to cover anything the detector missed. Identifying details other than faces — tattoos, uniforms, licence plates, signage, voices, metadata — are not covered automatically. You are responsible for checking the final export.
6Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise its security
- Interfere with the App's normal operation
7Pricing, In-App Purchase & Refunds
Blur It is free to download. Every editing feature is available in the free tier; the free tier limits how many protected copies you can export per day. The App offers a single optional in-app purchase, Blur It Pro, which removes that limit.
Blur It Pro — US$4.99, one-time
- • Type: non-consumable in-app purchase (a one-time unlock)
- • Price: US$4.99, or the equivalent tier set by the App Store for your region
- • What it unlocks: unlimited protected exports, with no daily cap
- • Duration: permanent — it does not expire and does not renew
- • Free tier limit: 3 protected exports per day, which resets daily
This is not a subscription
Blur It Pro is charged once. There is no recurring billing, no auto-renewal, no free-trial countdown, and nothing to cancel. We will never convert an existing Blur It Pro purchase into a subscription.
Payment and billing
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's terms and the payment method on your Apple Account. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. We never receive, handle, or store your payment card details. Prices are set per App Store region and may change; the exact price you will be charged is always shown by Apple before you confirm.
Restoring your purchase
Blur It Pro is tied to the Apple ID that bought it, not to a device or an account with us. You can restore it at no extra charge on any device signed in to that Apple ID — including after reinstalling the App — using Restore Purchases in the App's settings. It is also covered by Apple's Family Sharing where you have that enabled.
Refunds
Because Apple is the seller of record, all refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, and are subject to Apple's refund policy. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue, reverse, or guarantee a refund, but if something went wrong with a purchase, email us and we will help you where we can. Nothing here limits any statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation you may have under the consumer law of your country.
Changes to pricing and features
We may change the App's price, the daily free-tier limit, or the features included in future versions. Any such change applies going forward only: a Blur It Pro purchase you have already made stays valid for what it unlocked at the time of purchase, and we will not retroactively paywall it. If a feature set changes materially, we will update these Terms and note the change in the App.
If a purchase fails to unlock, first try Restore Purchases; if it still does not appear, contact us at the address in Section 13 with the date of purchase and we will investigate.
8Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and features, is owned by Anh Trinh and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal purposes.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the App itself without our written permission. This does not affect your ownership of the photos and videos you edit.
9Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Important Legal Notice:
Blur It is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that face detection will find every face, that a mask cannot be defeated, or that a subject cannot be identified by other means. We are not responsible for lost drafts, failed exports, or device-specific limitations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anh Trinh disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App — including any consequence of media you chose to publish.
10App Store Compliance
Your use of the App must comply with the Apple App Store terms. In case of conflict between these Terms and the store terms, the store terms prevail for issues related to that store.

11Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. We may terminate your access to the App for violation of these Terms. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, but any photos or videos already saved to your device remain yours.
12Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or other reasonable means. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
