A diary is the most personal thing you can write. We are committed to keeping what you write, record and feel in Floral Diary: Mood Journal private and yours.

Information We Collect

Your Diary (Stored Locally)

  • Notes and daily entries you write
  • Photos you add to a day
  • Voice clips and sounds you record
  • The mood flower you press for each day
  • Letters to your future self and Let Go notes
  • Your plant, stickers, covers and other journal settings

Technical Information

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version and performance metrics
  • Crash reports and error logs
  • Usage analytics (anonymized)

Important: Your diary is stored locally on your device. We do not read your entries, photos or recordings, and they are not transmitted to our servers.

Device Permissions

Floral Diary only asks for a permission when you use the feature that needs it, and you can turn any of them off in your device settings:

Camera and Photos

To take or choose a photo for a day in your diary

Microphone

To record the voice clips and sounds that make up your monthly tape

Face ID / Biometrics

To unlock your diary. Biometric data is handled by your device and never reaches the app or us

Notifications

For gentle reminders and opened letters. Notifications never show what you wrote

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the diary, flower calendar, monthly tapes and your plant
  • Deliver letters to your future self on the day you chose
  • Manage your membership and restore purchases
  • Improve app performance and fix technical issues
  • Develop new features based on user feedback

We follow the principle of data minimization - we only collect and process information that is necessary to provide Floral Diary's functionality.

When you export a day as a video or your year as a book, the file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it.

You have full control over your diary. You can change privacy settings, export your entries, or remove the app and all associated data at any time.

Children's Privacy

Floral Diary is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately so we can delete such information.

Data Retention

Your diary is retained locally on your device until you choose to delete it or uninstall the app. We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly share it with us.

Retention Policy:

  • Diary entries, photos and recordings: Retained locally until user deletion
  • Technical logs: 12 months maximum
  • Support communications: 2 years maximum

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Posting the updated policy in the app
  • Sending a notification through the app
  • Updating the "Last modified" date

Your continued use of Floral Diary after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
