By downloading, installing, or using Xie Chinese (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The App is developed and published by Anh Trinh under the Davaco name. These Terms apply to every version of the App, on every device you use it on.

Xie Chinese is a handwriting practice app for Chinese characters. It presents characters to trace and then to write from memory, grades each stroke you draw against a reference stroke order, and keeps a record of your progress.

The App does not require registration. Your progress is stored on your device rather than on our servers, which means you are responsible for your device and its backups.

If you delete the App, reset your device, or lose it, your practice history goes with it. We have no copy and cannot restore it.

You agree not to:

• • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its character and stroke data
• • Circumvent the limits of the free tier or interfere with subscription verification
• • Use the App in any way that breaks applicable law

Printable workbooks you export are for your own study or your own classroom. Please don't sell them or publish them as your own material.

Xie Chinese is free to download and free to practise every day. Xie Chinese Pro unlocks the full HSK 1–6 program, unlimited daily practice, and PDF workbook export.

Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and Pro features stay available until that period ends.

The App — its design, code, artwork, lesson structure, and written content — is owned by Anh Trinh and protected by intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial study.

Chinese characters and their conventional stroke orders are not ours and are not claimed by us. What is ours is the way this App presents, sequences, grades, and explains them.

We work to keep stroke orders, pinyin, and meanings correct, but the App is a study aid, not an authority. Stroke order conventions can differ between standards and regions, and a grading result is an automated judgement about the strokes you drew — it can be wrong.

The App does not guarantee any exam result, HSK outcome, or level of fluency. Practising with it is not a substitute for a teacher, a course, or a dictionary.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including lost practice data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the App or its content, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Any support question about the App itself should come to us, not to Apple.

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device, and cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings.

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached — for instance, by tampering with subscription verification or redistributing the App's content.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and where appropriate, noted in the App.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
